We're decking the halls with treats from a Syrian Christmas, courtesy of our our Aramaic cook Rana! Please join us for the festive and delicious dishes that bring home the holidays for her and her family, from meltingly tender spiced lamb shanks to meaty walnuts painstakingly threaded onto garlands, enrobed in sweet batter and dried into candies called akoodeh. It will also be the feast of Saint Barbara, Eid il-Burbara, that weekend, a Halloween-like festival that kicks off the Christmas season in the Middle East, so we'll be sharing some of those traditions too! Full feast menu to follow, accompanied as always by abundant punch and wine. We hope you'll come light up the winter darkness with us!

Tanabel is a catering and events company that employs refugee women with exceptional talent in the kitchen. We host gatherings that celebrate the rich and sophisticated cuisine of the Middle East and offer guests the opportunity to get to know the food and people of countries that are often objectified and misunderstood. These authentic, generous and delicious meals allow our cooks to share a taste of home with their new communities and provide them with meaningful and empowering employment.
